In addition to her service on the Quorum board, Alice Schroeder serves on the boards of Prudential plc and Bank of America Merrill Lynch International (BAMLI). She chairs the audit committees of BAMLI and serves on the Prudential audit committee. She also serves on Prudential’s risk committee and on the nominating/governance committees BAMLI. Previously she was audit committee chair and board member of Cetera Financial Group. Ms. Schroeder was named to the 2018 list of “Directors to Watch” by Directors & Boards magazine.
Ms. Schroeder was CEO and chair from 2014-2017 of WebTuner Corp., a Seattle-area software developer, though its turnaround and exit through sale in May 2017. Formerly she was a Managing Director in the equities division of Morgan Stanley, leading the global insurance research team, and before that at PaineWebber and CIBC Oppenheimer, spending nearly two decades on Wall Street. She began her career as a CPA with Ernst & Young and spent two years as a project manager at the Financial Accounting Standards Board, overseeing the issuance of several key accounting standards for the insurance industry.
Ms. Schroeder is author of the #1 New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller The Snowball: Warren Buffett and the Business of Life, which was called the “bible of capitalism” by the Washington Post and featured on numerous “best of” lists.

Mr. Markby is an experienced independent director and “financial expert” serving on private and public company boards in a variety of industries. He is currently on the Board of Premiere Global Services, Inc., Blackboard, Siguler Guff Small Business Credit Opportunities Fund, Inc., and Thiele Kaolin Company. Previously Mr. Markby was on the Board of Momentive Performance Material, TwentyEighty, Altegrity, SP Fiber Holdings [Chairman], NewPage Corporation and represented JPMorgan Chase’s investment at Ligado Networks where he was a board observer and held their voting proxy. Mr. Markby is on the Audit Committee at Blackboard, MPM [Chair], Siguler Guff SBCOF [Chair] and Thiele [Chair]. Mr. Markby is also on the board of the National Association of Corporate Directors [NACD], CT Chapter.
Previously, Mr. Markby spent more than twenty five years in the investment banking industry as an advisor and financier at firms including Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, Wasserstein Perella, PaineWebber and Drexel Burnham Lambert. Mr. Markby has advised clients in numerous acquisitions, corporate sales, divestitures and capital raising transactions in the public and private market and has significant experience in other complex merger and restructuring transactions.

Mr. Miller co-founded and has been Chairman of Marblegate Asset Management, LLC since 2009. Mr. Miller was co-founder, Chairman and a Managing Director of Miller Buckfire & Co., LLC, an investment bank, from 2002 to 2011 and Chief Executive Officer from 2002 to 2009. Prior to founding Miller Buckfire & Co., LLC, Mr. Miller was Vice Chairman and a Managing Director at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and its predecessor company Wasserstein Perella & Co., where he served as the global head of the firm’s financial restructuring group.
