Cyber and Beyond: Enterprise Risk Management in a Fast-Changing Environment

June 13, 2017
Norwalk, CT

Join us for our panel session and networking event where we expand on discussions of Cyber Risks to understanding the broad impact of Rapid Technology Change on Enterprise Risk and what Board members should be focused on.

How can Boards deal with rapid transformation in the delivery of technological solutions, including dramatic changes resulting from the increased use of "cloud" computing?  In today's environment, enterprise risk management ("ERM") and crisis-management have become imperative for management and Boards of Directors.  Risks to be assessed and managed include business interruption, security/privacy, data integrity, intellectual property, licensing, electronic discovery, export control and other violations of law in both the US and foreign jurisdictions.

Failure to identify, assess, prioritize and mitigate potential risks can lead to action by  regulatory authorities, and can also lead to civil litigation, political attention, unfavorable press, loss of business and unfavorable competitive positions.

Utilizing internal and external resources and understanding the role of the board, the company, law enforcement and insurance are all critical.

How should board members handle these issues?  Join us for a lively discussion on this important topic with fellow directors from the area.
