Compensation Considerations for Public, Private & Private Eq

Classroom
September 24, 2014
Stamford, CT

Overview

There is continued scrutiny over compensation whether on public, private, family or private equity owned companies.  It ties to recruiting, developing and retaining employees who are charged by leading the company, often in tumultuous or challenging times.   Key topics to be addressed include:

• Issues raised by pay-for-performance standards
• Investor pressure to strengthen executive pay plan metrics
• Balancing short, mid and long term pay and incentives
• Impact of regulatory consideration on pay programs and disclosures
• Responsibility for setting pay: Board of Directors, Investors, Family, Compensation Committee, Nominating & Governance Committee
• Hiring outside the company – transitioning to a new firm, aligning compensation
